"The Sucker is all true?" That was the title of an article about an e-mail

I recently read an article about an e-mail that Lori Ehricke, the author of the article said she had received, she said she had received the same e-mail three times but, did not know who penned this work of art but, she called it an eye opener!

The author of the article also stated that from what she was able to verify - (SIC) "This SUCKER'S all true."

After reading the article with much interest, I wondered how the author of the article verified this e-mail. How did she know "This SUCKER'S all true?"

If I were to write an article and know that article is true and researchable to make sure it is true, I would certainly want the credit for writing the article and to credit the author of the e-mail.

This article I read did not credit the author of the e-mail with writing the e-mail she was talking about and she said she received the e-mail 3 times.

It does not matter how many people believe a particular thing. Lots of people believing something does not make it a fact. It simply means a lot of people share a particular opinion, or that a lot of people are poorly informed."

— C.Clark/Au fait

How do you debunk an e-mail, from an unknown author?

Not believing the statements in the e-mail, I decided to debunk them.

I went searching for the e-mail(s) and found several, I choose the one that follows the author's description of the one she said she received three (3) times the one she wrote about in her article.

This author assumes that "the SUCKER'S (SIC) all true," because she agrees with the content of an e-mail's unknown author's words and ideas. If she does not know who wrote the e-mail, how could she know if it is factual or residue slung from what hit the fan, how does she know "the SUCKER'S (SIC) all true?"

Debunking the e-mail.

How does one go about debunking an anonymous e-mail, author unknown.

My hub is a result of an article that I read about an e-mail that the author of the article claims is true.

The author of the article, (not the e-mails) who seemed to be praising and passing these e-mails off as being the absolute Gospel, and she and her loyal raciest followers, who did not seem to bother to fact check are saying that Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrats are responsible for George W. Bush's last two (2) years in office.

Did Barack Hussein Obama trash George W. Bush's legacy? If President Obama trashed "W's" legacy, he would first have to dig it out of the bottom of the dump and build it up so he could then trash it...

E-mail content:

Remember January 3, 2007
The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, the start of the 110th Congress. The Democratic Party gained a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

Did Lori Ehricke know that President GWB was still in office all of 2007/2008

Ms. Lori Ehricke, believes that the 2008 election of Senators and Congressmen were sworn in January 3, 2007 (at least that is what I felt was implied) It what almost two years before the 2008 election. President George W. Bush was still in office until January 20th, 2009 and the Democrats did not have a SUPER MAJORITY and that is what it would take for them to get anything done.

Could the Democratic House and Senate pass any bill they wanted, when they had to have a supermajority to get anything passed?

The author of the e-mail implied that the Democratic House and Senate could pass any bill they wanted...even though GWB was still the President and would be until President Obama was sworn in, two (2) years and twenty six days (26) later.

Evidently the e-mail author or the author of the article that I read had never heard of the Supermajority, or choose to ignore it. If the e-mail author really believed that the House and Senate could get anything passed, really does not know how the Supermajority works, or he/she is ignoring that FACT.

The new supermajority Video

It's true Democrats took control of the House and had a majority in the Senate as of January 3rd, 2007.

Per Nathan Emmons, Fact Check

Its true Democrats took control of the House and had a majority (not a supermajority) in the Senate as of January 2007.

Bush still retained a veto, and Republicans had enough votes in the Senate to block anything they opposed using the filibuster. So as you may recall, the result was mostly gridlock for those last 2 years.

What is a Filibuster?

Using the filibuster to delay debate or block legislation has a long history. The term filibuster, from a Dutch word meaning "pirate," became popular in the United States during the 1850s when it was applied to efforts to hold the Senate floor in order to prevent action on a bill.

Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Housing_Finance_Agency

Per: Wikipedia: The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) is an independent federal agency created as the successor regulatory agency resulting from the statutory merger of the Federal Housing Finance Board (FHBA), the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development government-sponsored enterprise mission team, absorbing the powers and regulatory authority of both entities, with expanded legal and regulatory authority, including the ability to place government sponsored enterprises (GSEs) into receivership or conservatorship

In its role as regulator, it regulates Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the 12 Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBanks, or FHLBank System).

The enabling law establishing the FHFA is the Federal Housing Finance Regulatory Reform Act of 2008, which is Division A of the larger Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, Public Law 110-289, signed on July 30, 2008 by President George W. Bush. One year after the law was signed, the OFHEO and the FHFB shall go out of existence. All existing regulations, orders and decisions of OFHEO and the Finance Board remain in effect until modified or superseded.

On the day of the law's signing, former Director James Lockhart stated:

Bush asked Congress 17 times to stop Fannie & Freddie

(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 times to stop Fannie & Freddie -starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy). Barney blocked it and called it a "Chicken Little Philosophy" (and the sky did fall!)

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!!

WHAT?
Bush Asked Congress 17 times to stop Fanny & Freddie?

Why would he do that when on 9/24/2008, Bush, himself was promoting Fannie and Freddie.

Did you watch the above video, and hear Bush's promoting of F&F

E-mail (Cont.) so when someone tried to blame Bush..

So when someone tries to blame Bush...
REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007....THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"

Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving the economy into the ditch.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

The truth behind the Federal Budget

Uploaded by seeprogress on Jan 17, 2007

Starting from 1921 the President was asked to prepare the Budget, since then that is how it is done. NOT THE Congress.

Center for American Progress Senior Fellow Scott Lilly explains the pomp and ceremony around the release of the President's budget obscures the real budget process, which begins several weeks later when federal agencies send their budget needs to Congress.

The e-mail (Cont.) – Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush?

2009 Bush was no longer President; he no longer had anything to do with the budget, or whatever you are talking about.

January 29, 2009 - President Obama was sworn into office, he was no longer a member of Congress. So... President Obama would have been in the White House.

Aren't your tea baggers on top of everything (Ya'll know what I mean.)

Bush has doubled National Debt with Deficits

The e-mail (Cont.) – If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit!

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is, "I inherited a deficit that I voted for,
And then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th, 2009."

What did Obama inherited? - 2007 was George Bush's deficit?

Say again!

What did Obama inherited? - 2007 was George Bush's deficit?

National Debt Exploding under Bush (pushing $10 TRILLION!)

The e-mail (Cont.) There is no way this will be publicized.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us passes it on.

You can count on this being passed on!

You can count on this being passed on! Complete with videos and the truth. And, I hope you will also pass THIS on!
