Prayer - 35th Good Word in the Good Words Project
The "Good Words" project, created by Jo 'Grace' Goldsmith.
Grace gives us a good word each week to practice living by, to help and inspire fellow Hubbers, to become the best writers we can be.
This is Grace's calling, to inspire and promote writers, authors and poets.
When Grace first started the "Good Words" project, I promised to write a poem for every good word. I may not get them done as quickly as I would like but will continue to do them as quickly as possible for me.
I so admire Grace for her Leadership in starting this project, I also know that it is her Ambition to help unknown writers gain recognition for their work.
I read Grace’s testimony of losing her practice of prayer, and this poem is dedicated to my dear friend Jo 'Grace' Goldsmith.

I know what my friend Grace is saying
When she said she felt her spirit
Had fallen into a hole
And I feel somehow
My own faith is waning
And maybe growing cold
As I spoke with Grace
She listened patiently
To my tales of woe
It was then I felt ashamed
For her to hear me complaining so…
Then I remembered a Bible verse I’d read
“So then because thou art lukewarm,
Neither hot nor cold”_____Revelation 3:16
Keeps going round inside my head
And filled my heart with dread
My Prayer time had dwindled
Prayers were left unsaid
When all the earthly complications
Filled my thoughts instead
As in my closet on my knees
My private time with Jesus
Needs to be rekindled
And my Prayers must all be said
ASAP
Always say a Prayer (ASAP)
Always say a Prayer
The way that Jesus taught
But, humbly say your prayers
You do not need to pray out loud
Then you would be praying to the crowds
"But when thou Prayest
Enter into thy closet
And when thou hast shut thy door, PRAY" _____Matthew 6:6-13
